Current State of Affairs for Native Americans In US

History has shown that failure to include the voices of tribal officials in formulating policy affecting their communities has all too often led to undesirable and, at times, devastating and tragic results. By contrast, meaningful dialogue between Federal officials and tribal officials has greatly improved Federal policy toward Indian tribes. Consultation is a critical ingredient of a sound and productive Federal-tribal relationship."

Response to Obama's State of Union Speech

This is the first time I have ever heard this kind of speech and I found it quiet interesting. Mr. Obama, on his "State of Union" speech talked on so many topics and among those two things touched me which are strengthening the middle class and build ladder of opportunity to the middle class and make and bring investment at home so as to enhance the economic growth of the nation as well as its people. I think these two subjects; strengthening the middle class and economic growth of the nation are inter related because creating jobs and providing opportunity to the middle class is the way to make them strong which ultimately helps the nation to grow economically. Mr. Obama focused on making investments at home which helps to create new jobs and helps to utilize the local resources. Lowering the taxes rate to those whose create jobs and make investments, providing them with some tax credit could be helpful to attract investments.
